- 제6회: 좀 앉으세요! Please sit down! Please have a seat!

In this lesson, we will learn how to command or request someone politely, yes, very politely. We will add the suffix (ㅇ)세요 after the verb stem. But which verbs we add 세요, and which ones we add 으세요? It is the rule of the verb ending (vowel/ㄹ or consonant). However, we have few special, irregular cases.

떠나다	떠나세요	leave; depart
입다	입으세요	put on (cloth)

벗다	벗으세요	take off

3. Special cases:
• 먹다 : 먹으세요 (Wrong) → 드세요; 잡수세요. (eat)
• 자다 : 자세요 (Wrong) → 주무세요. (sleep; go to bed) (Go to bed, please!)
4. Wrap it up.
• 너무 추운 것 같아요... It seems too cold to me...
